5500 Xbox Achievements Unlocked

So, I could have reached this target a couple of years ago probably if I had played a lot more and a few more things had gone my way.  Then I wouldn’t be going back and replaying games the way I am, not that I am not enjoying that as there are always a few to keep in the locker for rainy days.

After a week of popping a few here and there and chipping away at the target, I decided to reinstall Killer Instinct and play through Survial Mode with a few more characters unlocking the achievements for that and the ones that you can normally pop along the way.  This was 2 or 3 per character that I’ve done so far, then after doing this and funnily enough fancying a change of game I loaded up Anthem for a bit, then Minecraft.

So the Milestone Achievement was “Iron Belly”, quite fitting really for a day of play and achievement popping, not that I will now “Stop starvation using Rotten Flesh”.  I will snack and refresh suitably before starting towards the next target.

I did earlier stream a little weekend drive on Forza Horizon 4 on Mixer so check it out and follow me there as I start to share my adventures more.

In total over the last 8 days during this streak I am on I have now unlocked 47 Achievements from 11 Games, these are;

  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider
  • Tom Clancy’s The Division 2
  • Anthem
  • Fifa 19
  • Call of Duty Black Ops
  • Assassin’s Creed Revelations
  • Burnout Paradise
  • Minecraft
  • Killer Instinct
  • Halo 5
  • Trials Fusion

So if I haven’t mentioned any of the above recently, then you can see what I have managed to unlock Achievements in.  I’ve played many other games too as you may have seen.

A couple of the above I am curently playing through and so more to do, the rest is just for fun.

Streaking fun

I try and put some thought into my ideas here, but I also get messages and prompts about the regularity of things I am doing so am I doing them to often?

I am currently on a streak of posts here, but more importantly I have started a little streak of Achievement gathering now.

With the 5 I have gathered today 3 in Minecraft, 1 in Anthem and 1 in Assassin’s Creed Revelations that takes it to 31 in the last 6 days, and that is without playing 24/7.  As you have probably gathered from my previous ramblings, those 31 come from 10 different games.

With the streak now fully started, I feel obliged to try and see how long I can keep it going for.  See if I can get any where near my best ones or maybe set a goal of 50 achievements and see how many days I can reach it in.  Then see where I go from there.

When I do reach that I will go past the 5500 Achievements unlocked mark which will be a nice little milestone to go past.  I am currently at 5486, so not far to go now.

I haven’t yet started anymore games so games played is still sitting at 300.

But by the end of the month, I would like ot have started Final Fantasy 7.  Maybe my trial of Anthem will have run out by then, and I might not have purchased it yet.  So a window of oppurtunity.

From the streak perspective, depending on how you look at it my longest so far was 33 days and I earned 141 Achievements.  Efficeincy wise my best was 17 days in which I earned 165 Achiements.  If I could have kept that one going then I would have been ok.

The 33 day streak was my introduction to Gears of War, and I play Gears 1, 2 and then 3 back to back.  It was a very good month.

The 17 day streak, was mostly unlocking Killer Instinct Achievements, and there is still a lot more of those to unlock and so I have just reinstalled it.

I want to earn at least another 109 Achiecements, and so if I can do it in this streak then I’ll improve on the above stats.  Let’s see how things go.

April 2019 – Xbox 360 play day

Ok, so I mentioned a need to run through some things yesterday.  What I didn’t plan was sitting down for the day playing Xbox 360 Games.

I’ve been playing, Call of Duty Black Ops, Assassin’s Creed Revelation and Burnout Paradise.

What I have also done, is as sort of planned for yesterday.  I’ve cleared some current games off of my Xbox One S and installed some of the mentioned games ready for some play sessions.

I have some other games on the Xbox One X, so I have choice if needed.

Burnout Paradise was the usual laugh, and it was good to cause mayhem with some takedowns on that again.

Some great memories of not to long ago, I keep thinking of installing Borderlands, but I know I wouldn’t play anything else.

I’ll be spending a lot more hours jumping between the 2 consoles as I decide which games to play when.

I do want to finish Black Ops as I have my eye on another of the CoD catalogue as it’s available, but don’t want to get until I have done at least playthrough of this game.  Should finish it this week.  I’ve put it off long enough.

Surprise achievement unlocks

Occasionally as you know games have updates released, which have new achievements added to be unlocked.  What I always find a welcome suprise is when simply loading the game makes things go a little popping mad due to the achievement criteria already been reached.

Gears of War 4

This was a few months ago now, but it was still funny when it happened.

This obviously doesn’t mean that I don’t spend time playing the game, sometimes it is the way I find out about the update.

There are a number of achievements that I am waiting to unlock, and some of this I believe is down to the fact that I spend a lot of time jumping between 2 consoles and the save files have trouble syncing occassionally.

One such pop happened last night whilst I was checking out the last update for Rocket league.

Stocked Achievement

As soon as the game was loading I turned and heard a pop.  It must have just been stuck unlocking and having not played for a couple of months helped 🙂

I might need to install and load a few more games like this to see if anything else pops.  If not then It is always good to have a playthrough on a classic.  I was having a little play on Age of Booty earlier, just for a few minutes to have a bit of a laugh.

Well, off to try and earn a few more before the weekend is over.  Closing in on a couple of goals that I have set myself.

The weekend so far…

So plans were made, games to play were mentioned. Not sure what happened but that is what happens. the main thing is progress towards a goal and that is how the weekend is shaping.

It hasn’t been a massive trolling haul, as I have been playing the games but so far I have earned 7 achievements across 5 games. But the night is still young.

The most impressive stat is when there is just a laughable amount of time between achievements earned, but again, as I’ve mentioned on previous posts. Sometimes I just stop playing for a little while and then go back.

pac-man_achievements

Don’t know why I put Pac-Man down for 13 years? But doesn’t time fly, and this is not uncommon with me and it is also not always my fault.  I shall explain further in a future post.

Games that I have earned achievements in so far today are; Forza Motorsport 7, Pac-Man (xbox 360) Battlefield 5, Assassin’s Creed Revelations (xbox 360) and Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2.

So a couple there that weren’t originally on the playlist yet somehow worked there way in to my agenda. But at the same time it ultimately knocked a handful off the hundreds that I am working towards, and I have been meaning to sit down and play Assassin’s Creed Revelations for about a year now.

I have also as mentioned begun tweaking the look of the site here and so if you’ve been here before or if your first time, let me know what you think.  I am thinking of upping the plan that I currently have, but I will see how things go first.  Before I start over customising.

Later tonight I will probably continue on with Assassin’s for a little to get myself into that story. Then moving on to something a little lighter, and if anything pops then that is just a bonus.

If I can earn at least a total of 10 achievements today, without stating a new game then it has been a reletively constructive day so far.  But I believe that I can get slightly more than that to pop and so we’ll see.
